Unique Facebook URL

Using Facebook already?

If so, have it personalized!

Yes, you can set your own personalized, add your name or your business name in your facebook URL like http://www.facebook.com/yourname instead of the garbled http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=987654321.

All you need to do is go to http://www.facebook.com/username and select the suggested name or create your own preferred name. That's all there is to it.

That way, you can easily tell your friends of your facebook page instead of memorizing those unidentifiable numbers. In other words, you can simply tell them "Hey, check out my facebook page at facebook.com/myname." Sweet, isn't it?

You can also do this with branding your business. Instead of creating your personal facebook page, you can create one for your own business.

Note: Be sure that you've already considered, think twice, or even thrice, your URL before registering it. You are only allowed to change it ONCE! There's no turning back here. The only solution that you can do when you really need to change your URL is to DELETE, I repeat ~DELETE, your facebook account! I'm sure you don't want to do that, do you?

To your success.

PLR - Private Label Rights

Although you are encouraged to write your own content to build your online business, it is a long and tedious process.

Here is an easier way, a short cut that you can implement to grow your arsenal of articles, ebooks, or any information products.

The strategy is to use products with Private Label Rights (or commonly known as PLR).

PLRs are articles, ebooks, or reports that you can edit, rewrite, reshuffle, compile, combine, distribute, sell, pass resell rights to, pass master resell rights to, or even pass private label rights to your clients. And the best part is, you can claim the product as your own!

All you need to do when using this strategy is to find quality PLR products and you are halfway on your way. The next step is you MUST edit, revise, add your own words, and add your own personality to the PLR product. That way, your product will be truly unique and not just a copy-paste product.

One method that you can do is to "spin" your PLR product. By spinning, you need to revise some words, phrases or even whole sentences or paragraphs.

You can change a word with its synonym, rephrase your paragraph or do whatever you like as long as your new content can still convey its message.

Although this may be heaven-sent and would make your content development easier, it would still not replace your own personality that would reflect on your own writing.

For me, I would just get the context of a PLR article and write it on my own words. You can also use headlines from ezineartricles or from any article directory sites and write your own idea based on the headlines that got your attention.

Ok, back to PLR products, you can spend a fortune buying PLR packages and start from there, your investment may come ten folds.

However, if you are short in cash yet, you can visit http://www.therichinfopreneur.com and get your PLR articles for free. It's all yours for the taking. Just click on the register and you can have access to hundreds of free PLR articles, and growing.

Start gathering your free PLR articles and use it on your blog, as content on your site, compile it to make a report, spin it, or do whatever you like.

To your success.

Creating Your First Information product

Of course this may not be the very first information product that you can do but this may be the easiest, no cost, and may come naturally to you.

Basically, information product marketers are keen on transferring what is in their mind to some medium that can easily be distributed to the most number of people in their target market, this may be in a form of an ebook, physical book, audio recordings, videos, or even phone call or a text message.

As an aspiring infopreneur, one of the easiest way to make your ideas into a valuable information is to transfer it to your blog. You might say that your blog is not one of your mediums of choice and you opt to use other materials like ebooks, MP3 files, video files, a full-blown website, etc. But as you can see, a simple idea from your mind that you transfer to your blog means that a lot of people can instantly have access to it.

Come to think of it, you use a free medium that is readily available (take this blog for example), can be accessed around the globe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and all it takes is just some keyboard strokes and your own idea is now available for the whole world to read.

If you're reading this, chances are you are already well-versed or at least have a slight idea of what is blogging. For most bloggers, they just post their ramblings, daily activities, or make their blog an online diary.

But as an information marketer, don't just post any topic. You need to focus on a specific topic, a topic that you have enough confidence to talk about, a topic that other people can use, a topic that can help people improve their life.

With this very powerful tool, you can use it to build your credibility, build people's trust, and most especially, to establish YOU as THE AUTHORITY of your field.

If you are just starting out, you can use the free blogging software provided by blogger.com (just like this blog) or wordpress.com and start getting your ideas out for the world to use and enjoy.

And once people are regularly visiting your blog, you can introduce them to your other sites. Blogging is part of the search engine optimization strategies done by highly successful information marketers. Others are even using blogging as their main source of income like our very own kababayan Anton Diaz of OurAwesomePlanet.com

Happy blogging.

How to create your own Video Tutorial product

With the improvement of technology and faster access to the internet, video products are now readily available online.

Want proof? Just look at YouTube, Metacafe, Google Videos and you can see that videos are on the rise and gaining popularity online.

You can use videos to better explain your ideas and information to your target viewers. This is usually done especially in tutorials and how-to guides.

If you are teaching your audience how to use a software, you can capture your screen activities and instantly you have your very own video product. You can buy Camtasia or you can use CamStudio (a free version) to do this job.

On the other hand, if you are just using still images or screen shots for your tutorials, you can compile your images/screen shots using your already-installed movie maker like Windows Movie Maker if you're using a Windows Operating System.

However, if you need to talk in front of your audience, you can use your built-in web cam of your laptop or opt to buy a video camera to have a higher quality product.

Once you have your movie clips, and screen shots, you can use your Windows Movie Maker to edit and compile your video. You can also do a quick search at Google for free video editors to compile your video product.

Once you have your video product, you can include it on your information product package or you can upload it to publicly accessible video portals like YouTube and Metacafe to help promote your site and your other products.

What are you waiting for? Start making your video products that you can use in your information product marketing.

To your success.

Viral Ebook

Creating a viral ebook is one of the proven ways to generate traffic for your website as well as generate sales.

Just create your ebook and distribute it for free. Make it available to your readers through your website or through your email campaign.

Be sure to include a link back to your site or sales page in your free ebook.

The trick here is give your readers the "Give Away Rights." That way, they can freely distribute your ebook without any effort on your part.

However, in order for this strategy to be effective, you must provide valuable information that your readers can really use.

To make your free ebook more viral, you must allow your readers to brand it, this strategy is used specially in affiliate marketing, where the "brand" is the affiliate link of your reader. Your reader will distribute it to his contacts with gusto with the hope that he gains some commission every time a purchase is made through his link.

You can see the strategy above here.

Follow their strategy when thinking of creating your own viral ebook.

Create Your Own PDF Ebook with Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF allows you to export and save to the PDF format in eight 2007 Microsoft Office programs.

Once downloaded, you need to install the script.

All you need to do is open your document with MS Word and click

File>>Save As then select PDF format.

Packaging your Infoproducts

Infoproducts (information products) are products that you have produced in line with the information that you are selling.

Depending on your target market and marketing strategy, you can package your information in several formats.

You can have a physical product or an electronic/digital product.

By physical products, you package your product in tangible, hold-it-in-your-hands products such as books, manuals, compact disks, cassette tapes, DVD, VCD, data disks, etc.

On the other hand, digital products are composed of bytes, and could reside on your hard drives or removable flash drives. Digital products can be easily and instantly downloaded, and does not need to be shipped.

Here are some of the common digital products used by infopreneurs:
  • ebooks
  • audiobooks
  • MP3 files
  • videos

When planning your information marketing business, you must consider how you will package your products. Going the digital route is much more profitable since you won't incur hefty overhead expenses like:
  • printing cost
  • CD/DVD writing cost
  • warehouse storage fees
  • no shipping and handling cost
  • no missing products
  • no broken or damage products
All you need to do is upload your finished product and let your customers download it automatically once payment is confirmed.

On the other hand, selling your information product in physical format gives you more credibility and establishes you as a professional in your field.

I suggest that you create your digital products first then you can convert it into a physical product readily.

You can opt to the "print on demand" scheme where you only need to print your book when somebody orders it. That way you won't incur storage fees and you only pay for printing cost when needed. You can also apply the same strategy with your MP3, Audio, Video files. You jst create the Audio CD, Video CD or DVD when someone orders it.

I hope that you find this article informative.

What is an Infopreneur?

Infopreneur is a coined term from the words information and entrepreneur.

In other words, an infopreneur is a person who sells or market information.

Information marketing is one of the lucrative businesses that you can tap into.

As a start, you can sell any information that you have already acquired like:
- education
- job experience
- hobbies
- passion

However, you are not restricted with your own information, you can always tap somebody else's information. If you know somebody who have the skills, talents, expertise that can help solve a problem, you can market it and you both make a profit.

In short, you just need to find a problem, find a solution to a problem, and if you have the capabilities of solving the problem then you already have an edge. But as I've said earlier, you can always look for other people who knows the solution to a problem. I tell you, there are a lot of people who don't know how to market their knowledge.

Go start finding problems and start looking for its solution.
