Membership sites can be your ticket to your online success endeavor.

You can deliver your information via membership sites by placing an "exclusive for members" or "members only site" on your website. This is one of the lucrative strategies that you can implement on your information product marketing.

You can create a simple site and provide your exclusive content/information to your members. You can also charge for your exclusive content and make money.

Creating Your First Information product

Of course this may not be the very first information product that you can do but this may be the easiest, no cost, and may come naturally to you.

Basically, information product marketers are keen on transferring what is in their mind to some medium that can easily be distributed to the most number of people in their target market, this may be in a form of an ebook, physical book, audio recordings, videos, or even phone call or a text message.

As an aspiring infopreneur, one of the easiest way to make your ideas into a valuable information is to transfer it to your blog. You might say that your blog is not one of your mediums of choice and you opt to use other materials like ebooks, MP3 files, video files, a full-blown website, etc. But as you can see, a simple idea from your mind that you transfer to your blog means that a lot of people can instantly have access to it.

Come to think of it, you use a free medium that is readily available (take this blog for example), can be accessed around the globe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and all it takes is just some keyboard strokes and your own idea is now available for the whole world to read.

If you're reading this, chances are you are already well-versed or at least have a slight idea of what is blogging. For most bloggers, they just post their ramblings, daily activities, or make their blog an online diary.

But as an information marketer, don't just post any topic. You need to focus on a specific topic, a topic that you have enough confidence to talk about, a topic that other people can use, a topic that can help people improve their life.

With this very powerful tool, you can use it to build your credibility, build people's trust, and most especially, to establish YOU as THE AUTHORITY of your field.

If you are just starting out, you can use the free blogging software provided by blogger.com (just like this blog) or wordpress.com and start getting your ideas out for the world to use and enjoy.

And once people are regularly visiting your blog, you can introduce them to your other sites. Blogging is part of the search engine optimization strategies done by highly successful information marketers. Others are even using blogging as their main source of income like our very own kababayan Anton Diaz of OurAwesomePlanet.com

Happy blogging.

$7 Domain name

Planning to buy your new domain?

If you search the keyword "domain name registration" at Google, you would most like see an add for a .com domain registration for just $7 (or even less) but when you would visit the site you won't find any .com domain worth with just $7.

Are they scamming you? Well, first, it's part of their marketing strategy - to entice potential domain name buyers to visit their site.

On the other hand, you can indeed buy your domain with the with just the advertised amount (they're just not telling you how).

Well, it would only take a little effort on your part to save that $3 (or at least that is what you can save when you will buy with the regular price of $10).

All you need to do is do a quick search at Google with "domain-registrar-site.com coupon" (just replace the "domain-registrar-site.com" with the URL of your chosen domain name registrar).

Visit the sites returned from your search and look for coupon codes. Be sure to enter the coupon code before you click on the "Check Out" button.

And basically that's all you need to save those precious $3.

Enjoy your savings.

Create Your Own PDF Ebook with Microsoft Office

Creating your own PDF ebook is not as hard as you might think.

You don't need to buy those expensive ebook compilers.

All you need is your material (your information) in text or document format. By the way, I assume that you already have your product at hand, but if you don't have one yet, you can still follow this mini tutorial.

If you are using Microsoft Office, you need to download an add-in program called Microsoft Save as PDF. Just do a quick Google search for the key term "save as PDF " and you're set.

Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF allows you to export and save to the PDF format in eight 2007 Microsoft Office programs.

Once downloaded, you need to install the script.

All you need to do is open your document with MS Word and click

File>>Save As then select PDF format.

That's it, you now have your very own ebook that you can sell or giveaway.

Packaging your Infoproducts

Infoproducts (information products) are products that you have produced in line with the information that you are selling.

Depending on your target market and marketing strategy, you can package your information in several formats.

You can have a physical product or an electronic/digital product.

By physical products, you package your product in tangible, hold-it-in-your-hands products such as books, manuals, compact disks, cassette tapes, DVD, VCD, data disks, etc.

On the other hand, digital products are composed of bytes, and could reside on your hard drives or removable flash drives. Digital products can be easily and instantly downloaded, and does not need to be shipped.

Here are some of the common digital products used by infopreneurs:
  • ebooks
  • audiobooks
  • MP3 files
  • videos

When planning your information marketing business, you must consider how you will package your products. Going the digital route is much more profitable since you won't incur hefty overhead expenses like:
  • printing cost
  • CD/DVD writing cost
  • warehouse storage fees
  • no shipping and handling cost
  • no missing products
  • no broken or damage products
All you need to do is upload your finished product and let your customers download it automatically once payment is confirmed.

On the other hand, selling your information product in physical format gives you more credibility and establishes you as a professional in your field.

I suggest that you create your digital products first then you can convert it into a physical product readily.

You can opt to the "print on demand" scheme where you only need to print your book when somebody orders it. That way you won't incur storage fees and you only pay for printing cost when needed. You can also apply the same strategy with your MP3, Audio, Video files. You jst create the Audio CD, Video CD or DVD when someone orders it.

I hope that you find this article informative.
